We are looking for a skilled and passionate barber to join our team. This is a 24-40hr a week sub-contractor position similar to a chair rental, but with $0 monthly rental fee, full tips, and a percentage commission on all services. Instead of pay by the hour, you directly benefit from the work you do. The hours are negotiable, with guaranteed Sundays off, if desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional haircuts, kids cuts and beard trims, as well as selling styling products.

• Clean tools and work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.

• Assist with front desk duties, including sales, answering the phone, scheduling appointments and helping customers.

• Market yourself through social media/contribute to bringing in new clientele.

Experience

• Minimum two years of experience in barbering, preferably in a barbershop setting, with skill in a variety of styles, including scissor work as well as fades.

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, and the flexibility to accomplish their requests.

• Familiarity with sanitation practices and maintaining hygiene standards in the workplace.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and committed to learning and growing in your skills.
